Finding Peace Talking To Others

Sometimes talking with others, whether one person or a group, can create feelings of anxiety.

Will they like me?

What will they think?

Will they judge me?

Reject me?

Make fun of me?

The list can go on and on and build anxiety to the point of giving up and staying isolated.

Here is the mantra I have posted on a sticky note on my computer that has helped my overcome my fear of speaking with others and helped bring me to a place of peace:

“I am comfortable wherever I am, and talk about anything I want in interesting ways.”

Once I started to say this, then feel this, situations appeared that confirmed this mantra to be true in my life.
